A 3-days workshop was organized at KIIT- TBI for the SIIP Innovators from March 14 to 16, 2018. A total of 20 SIIP Innovators across India along with the managers participated in this training program where they underwent intense and insightful training by the faculty experts from Centre for Social Entrepreneurship (CSE), School of Management and Labour Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

Social Innovation Immersion Programme (SIIP) is the flagship fellowship programme of BIRAC, Government of India, which aims at providing support to the young innovators to conceptualise ideas and bring feasible solutions. This year’s theme is on Ageing and Health, where the social innovators will develop innovative solutions for the ageing and elderly and KIIT – TBI is one of the implementing partners for this unique program.

The three days training helped the SIIP Fellows to learn the processes and tools to understand the frameworks of social entrepreneurship, society and associated cultural dimensions as well as orient the fellows on the entrepreneurial mind set and venture creation.
This workshop also involved lot of activities which involved team work such as case studies, audio visual cases, problem mapping cases which enabled the innovators to engage with the pears and helped them learn the managerial methods to become a successful innovator.
KIIT-TBI is glad to have hosted this workshop and is very thankful to the TISS team and BIRAC for a great learning experience for all the Social Innovators and the managers.
