The comprehensive understanding of biology at the genetic level with a genome-wide approach enabled by affordability, accessibility, and reliability of DNA and RNA high-throughput sequencing platforms and bioinformatics capabilities is opening up new opportunities for a more heuristic approach in Research in Genetics and Genomics. High-throughput sequencing technology involves several concepts and techniques that shape a project before application-specific processes are utilized.
Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) in joint collaboration with KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI), Premas Life Sciences Pvt Ltd (Authorized Channel Partner for illumina) and BK 21 FOUR (Graduate Program for Bio-health/Innovative drug Development using Subtropical Bio-Resources; Bio-Health Materials Core Facility Center; Practical Translational Research Center), Jeju National University, South Korea is organizing an online certification course on Next Generation Sequencing and Data Analysis. The purpose is to give a deeper understanding in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) with a special focus on bioinformatics issues.
