We are proud to share that KIIT-TBI has been granted the opportunity to establish India’s first Marine Biofoundry under the visionary BioE3 Policy, announced by Hon’ble Union MoS (I/C) Science & Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh, in the presence of Dr. Rajesh Gokhale (Secretary, DBT), Dr. Alka Sharma (Sr. Adviser, DBT), and Dr. Jitendra Kumar (MD, BIRAC).
This pioneering initiative will strengthen marine biomanufacturing, fuel India’s bioeconomy, and position Odisha—with its vast coastline—as a launchpad for the Blue Economy, driving Atmanirbhar Bharat in biotechnology.
