Program Overview

OPEN (Odisha Pitching cum ENtrepreneurship Boot Camp), supported by  Science & Technology Department, Government of Odisha is a total 60 days program. The objective is to spread awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities, discover bright innovative ideas from multiple colleges/universities in Odisha and provide access to Incubation support, mentorship and funding opportunities for the idea to PoC building.

Primary Objective:

  • Building and Scaling of entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state
  • Mapping of best innovative ideas
  • Mentorship and incubation support to potential innovators/startups
  • Assistance in product development journey to aspiring entrepreneurs
  • Identifying growth drivers of the Odisha Startup ecosystem

Who Can Apply?

 – Students pursuing Bachelors, Masters, PhD in any field of Engineering, Science, MBA, etc.

Pre-Bootcamp Roadshows at partnering institutes for 15 days.

Full-fledged scouting campaign will be undertaken, with an emphasis on online and offline promotion to generate awareness for this challenge.

Screening and Evaluation

15 days for initial screening

  • Evaluation of 200-400 innovative  ideas from 30 districts
  • Pitching Round for 50 shortlisted innovators
  • Cohort of 15 to be on-boarded for Boot Camp
May – Jun 2022
Phase II
Bootcamp, Masterclass and Demo Day
  • Boot Camp for upskilling the innovators
  • 4 weeks of Master Classes for overall capacity building
  • Demo Day – Final Pitching

Best Ideas will be selected for Pre-Incubation support, a funding opportunity for POC, IP support.
