We are looking for entrepreneurs and startups that are using new and emerging technologies to solve societal problems.

About the Program

TIDE 2.0 scheme by MeitY aims to promote technology startups working in emerging technologies through financial and technical support. The Grand Challenge by KIIT-TBI under TIDE 2.0 scheme focuses on bringing out these tech-preneurs working on technologies such as IoT, robotics, AI-ML, blockchain and others in the domains of Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion including digital payments, Infrastructure and transportation, Environment and clean tech, Clean energy and other emerging areas.

Assistance

Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Funding support upto ₹ 4 lakh: For validation and development of an idea.
Grant Funding support upto ₹ 7 lakh: For translation of PoC to MVP.

For EIR

  1. The applicant must have completed the basic graduation in Basic Sciences/ Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Medicine/ Law etc. as on the date of accepting EIR.
  2. The applicant should be citizen of India with possession of a government approved proof of nationality such as a valid passport, voter’s id etc.
  3. The innovator must be under the age of 35.
  4. TIDE 2.0 EIR support recipient should not treat this support as a stop gap arrangement to support them in their academic pursuits or transition between jobs.
  5. The applicant must be has to register his/her own company within 3 months of the acceptance of EIR.

For Grant

  1. The applicant must have completed the basic graduation in Basic Sciences/ Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Medicine/ Law etc. as on the date of accepting Grant.
  2. The applicant should be a citizen of India with possession of a government-approved proof of nationality such as a valid passport, voter’s id etc.
  3. The innovator must be under the age of 35.
  4. The applicant may be an individual innovator or a nascent startup (less than 2 years old as on the date of application)
  5. The applicant (if not a startup) must be willing to incorporate a company within 3 months of the acceptance of TIDE 2.0 Grant.
  6. TIDE 2.0 Grant says recipients should not treat this support as a stop gap arrangement to support them in their academic pursuits or transition between jobs.
  1. You are working full time on developing the solution and have the required expertise or relevant experience or knowhow for the same.
  2. Your solution can address any of the problem statements mentioned for this Challenge grant.
  3. Your solution is addressing a real or existing market demand or requirement.
  4. Your solution is at either of these stages: Prototype Development/ Minimum Viable Product/ Pilot / Product Development.
  5. Your final solution once developed has the potential to be quickly commercialised and scaled.

Yes.

  1. Preferences will be given to Woman entrepreneurs.
  2. Preferences will be given to idea with a granted/published patent or atleast a provisional patent applied.
  3. Preferences will be given for a well-structured dedicated team working towards the innovation.
